Opportunities for Staff
Boggabilla Central School offers great opportunities for professional development. Being a small but active school, there are opportunities for staff to be involved in decision-making and implementation of a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular initiatives. Staff are encouraged to develop their professional interests and are supported to do so. Staff at Boggabilla Central School have close team connections and are actively involved in wider networks, such as our Northern Borders Senior Access program for senior secondary students. Roles and responsibilities are shared, so you are supported to develop new skills.
Opportunities for Students
Parents choose to send their students to Boggabilla Central School for the individual attention and differentiated learning they receive. Often, students who have not succeeded in larger school environments find that their needs are better met at our school. Teachers develop close connections with their students and are accustomed to individualising their instruction and routines to meet specific needs. As students progress into the senior years, our careers advisor is very proactive in helping students to develop and follow through in their career paths and a large percentage of our students have gained school-based traineeships in recent years.
